Medvivo was formed in January 2013, merging two experienced telehealth and telecare companies. They offer a comprehensive and flexible end-to-end service that includes clinically approved protocols, technical and clinical triage and flexible software. They provide innovative products and services that empower patients to live safely in their own homes.
Medvivo hired Greg Chambers from the NEF cohort of 2013. Greg holds a Master in Engineering in New & Renewable Energy from Durham University. Greg joined the NEF programme to learn new skills and attain new levels of success in his entrepreneurial endeavours in addition to meeting like-minded people.
Greg joined Medvivo in September 2012 as an analyst. His role included collecting and analysing data from the clinical triage to establish a robust and valid business case for the Telehealth Service that the company delivered.
By November 2012, Greg was made Service Delivery Manager. In this role, he managed a 6 person team of technicians and oversaw all the product and service offerings in the company, ensuring that they were delivered on time. This included dealing with 3rd party suppliers of products and services, and ensuring that targets were met and clients were satisfied.
About his experience at Medvivo, Greg says, “The roles at Medvivo have been extremely tough and challenging. However, my development and understanding of business requirements has improved significantly with these large responsibilities. These roles have helped me to understand how small to medium companies operate, the issues they face and how to overcome them.
At Medvivo, I have been afforded huge amounts of responsibility and have been completely integrated into the internal infrastructure which has been both highly intensive and invaluable.”
In June 2013, Greg became the Project Implementation Manager and is now managing several large internal projects which are essential to the stable and scalable growth of the company.
John Dyson, Chairman, Medvivo says, “I have been very pleased with our decision to engage with NEF and take on Greg Chambers for the last year. Greg has been an excellent member of staff, has made friends, learnt to manage a group of people and made a real difference to Medvivo. He has engaged with customers on a daily basis and will have gained enormous confidence in his abilities. I am very supportive of the additional training that NEF provided during the year as Greg was able to learn new skills and meet peers with whom he could have constructive discussions as he gained experience. We are sorry that Greg is leaving us to pursue his dream, but we would have him back, anytime.”
