With support of NEFer Alex Hudson (Class of 2015), cutting edge optical innovation firm Palliser Engineering have secured a large Innovate UK Grant of £562k to develop a new application of its technology.
Innovate UK works with people, companies and partner organisations to find and drive the science and technology innovations that will grow the UK economy – delivering productivity, new jobs and exports keeping the UK globally competitive in the race for future prosperity
Palliser Engineering uses optical technology to develop products for clean energy, optical wireless communication and sensing markets.
Alex will be working with the team to develop a solar panel that collects electricity and heat energy using PVT. The team at Palliser expect to be able to demonstrate a proof of concept in 2 years’ time.
